Awon Golding is a London-based milliner whose eclectic background includes two years in the foothills of the Himalayas and a childhood in vibrant Hong Kong. Her creative and sociable disposition led her to quick success as editor of one of Asia's leading youth street-culture magazines, from which a career in design seemed like a logical choice.

Now, her multicultural heritage inspires her to meld East and West influences - breathing new life into the age old art of millinery with her exclusive and innovative creations.

After completing summer courses at the London College of Fashion and a six month internship with couture milliner Edwina Ibbotson, Awon embarked on the one year HNC course at the Kensington Chelsea College. Awon’s flair and creative talent was quickly recognised during her time there as her Ascot hat was hand-selected by Fenwick Bond Street to be sold in-store and she was awarded First Prize in the annual Feltmakers’ hat of the year competition. Inspired by crystalline structures and 1920s architecture, the towering stack of diamonds made from felt and leatherette enchanted the judges.
